Kumiko Hitomi obtained a Bachelor of Music from Musashino Academia Musicae in Tokyo, after which she came to Canada to further her studies. In 2007 she completed the Diploma in Music program at Camosun College through the Victoria Conservatory of Music, where she also received her AVCM in piano performance and teaching. In 2009 Kumiko received a Master’s degree in piano performance from the University of Victoria. Besides performing solo piano works, she enjoys accompanying other instrumentalists and singers, and teaching piano students of any level.
